The AEMSS was founded in 2000, and is now representing around 100 secondary schools adopting English as the medium of instruction in Hong Kong. We aim at promoting the use of English in schools and we are also involved in planning the future development of English medium schools in collaboration with the Government.

Every year, the Association organizes the English Drama Fest to provide students from different member schools with an authentic context to use English in a fun and relaxing way; and we co-organize the Lions International Youth Exchange Scholarship Essay Competition with the Lions Clubs International, District 303, Hong Kong and Macau, China, to give students a channel to express their thoughts on different issues. We also serve as the supporting organization of the annual School-Business Partnership Programme organized by the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce, and the Mainland Higher Education Expo organized by the Education Bureau of the HKSAR.

Constitution of the Association
Aims: The aims of the Association are to
~ promote English as the medium of instruction in schools;
~ plan future development of English medium schools in collaboration with the Government;
~ enhance the image of English medium schools;
~ seek parity of treatment with other public sector schools; and
~ canvass support from parents and the community.
